NPA has conducted a number of projects for the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, including R&D work for new grant programs, and the design/development of major community initiatives.
NPA has worked with the Kansas Health Foundation on a number of projects over the last few years, including the strategic framework, program design and implementation of GROW Healthy Kansas: the Second Chapter.
NPA helped evaluate the feasibility of establishing an endowment fund to benefit a group of community development organizations.
NPA is implementing the National Center for Family Philanthropy’s Pursuit of Excellence process for Max M. & Marjorie S. Fisher Foundation. NPA is the first firm in the United States to implement this process for a family foundation. The firm also recently completed a systems audit for the Max M. and Marjorie S. Fisher Foundation and is working on an assignment with the foundation's executive director.
NPA worked with Michigan Future staff on a project funded by the Skillman Foundation and The Kresge Foundation to develop a business plan for a new intermediary organization that will launch dozens of new high-performance high schools in Detroit.
The New Economy Initiative is a collaborative effort by 10 national and local foundations (Ford, Kellogg, Kresge, Knight, McGregor, Hudson Webber, Skillman, Mott and the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan [CFSEM]) to help speed the transition of metro Detroit to a knowledge-based economy. The initiative was launched by, and is housed at, CFSEM. NPA was hired to manage the development and implementation of the initiative.
NPA has an ongoing assignment with the Ruth Mott Foundation. Recently, NPA was also hired to conduct a systems audit of the Ruth Mott Foundation.
